QVC Beauty Icons

QVC, purveyors of many an exclusive beauty brand and beloved by my mother, have released some research which has captured the top ten beauty icons of the last century, according to 2,000 women:

1. Audrey Hepburn (13%)
2. Cheryl Cole (12%)
3. Marilyn Monroe (8%)
4. Angelina Jolie (6%)
5. Grace Kelly (5%)
6. Scarlett Johansson (4%)
7. Halle Berry (4%)
8. Princess Diana (3%)
9. Kelly Brook (3%)
10.  Jennifer Aniston (2%)

Cheryl Cole?  Really?!

Anyway, while the list in itself isn't particularly interesting (these things are done to death year after year), what is interesting is that QVC have enlisted cult illustrator Daisy de Villeneuve to produce portraits of the women using beauty products as sold by QVC.  Pretty cool huh?

There's even a short video available on YouTube which shows Daisy creating the portraits with nail polish, foundation, lipstick, and more.  The images will be auctioned off with net proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care.
