Weekend Recap - 4.24/25.2010

Another busy weekend gone by (meaning one weekend closer to the wedding!) and another busy week at work/at home ahead. Because I have a lot on my plate this week this recap post is going to be done bullet style…

• M.’s parents came into town to make decisions about the rehearsal dinner. We’ve got a great location, had a tasting (the food was AMAZING!), chose the menu, picked out the invitations, and chose décor. Everything about the rehearsal dinner is going to be wonderful

. M.'s mom tried her first brussel sprout EVER this weekend (documented in the image below) and don't you think M. and his dad look SO similar!

• We bought M.’s wedding ring!

• Finished a draft of the wedding program

• Put the favor labels on all of the favor boxes

• Made a decision on the napkins for the cocktail hour

• Worked on our “must-have” photo list for our photographer

On the list for this week…

• Designing and ordering our guestbook using engagement shoot photos (I have the extra photos that our photographer took after my bridal portrait session and will share them sometime this week!)

• Gettin

g in contact with the band/our wedding coordinator to work out set lists, all of the “important” dance songs, etc.

• Printing inserts for the wedding programs that give information/directions on what to do in between the ceremony and the reception (our ceremony HAS to start at 2:00 pm, but our cocktail hour doesn’t begin until 5:00 pm)

• Printing signs to place on the bars at the reception that indicate the “signatur

e” drinks that our guests can order. (I’ll share these this week too!)

• Prettying up the holders that we have for these signs

• Running by Crate & Barrel to pick up a few more of these special votive candle holders we’re using on the escort card table.

• Buying

an 8x10 photo mat for a detail on M.’s groom’s cake table.

• Sending final photos to the florist/baker for our flowers and cake.

• Finalizing the timeline that I’ll give to my bridesmaids and one for M. to give to his groomsmen

• Last minute updates to all of our registries

• Packing for another weekend in North Carolina – this time for my bridal shower on May 1st! :)

• Getting in contact with the Monsignor to talk about any other meetings we may need to have before the wedding/ask him some questions about the ceremony

• Finalizing Bachelorette Party plans
