o What’s your signature color? I am definitely a pink kind of gal – anything pink and I am all about it…in fact, I’m actually wearing one of my favorite “flamingo pink” cardigans right now! I must say though, as far as my every day dressing (even though this really wasn’t the question), I like sleek sophisticated clothing (especially with fall/winter coming up) I love a great pair of black pants, a cozy black turtleneck and some fun colored (pink!) accent pieces!
o What’s your most embarrassing moment? There are for sure, too many to count. There’s one incident that took place on a family trip to Paris years ago, but I’ll never speak about that here on the blog (you’ll have to ask my husband/younger sister to find out what it is…good luck getting it out of them…..actually, they’d probably be more than willing to share!).
Instead I’ll share this little incident… When I was a freshman in high school I attended the summer basketball camp with the rest of the team (junior varsity and varsity). It was a customary prank for the varsity girls to “bother” the new girls by taking their toothbrushes and other personal items from their rooms while at practice. Turns out I was missing an entire bag of gummi bears (and my toothbrush too!) so I stormed through the halls demanding the gummi bears be given back to me (assuming it was a varsity girl)…turns out after going on a rampage (of course, taking a stand in honor of all of the freshman gals) my roommate informed me that she was the one who ate them. Awesome.
o Would you ever get anything besides your ears pierced? Nope, I’m not a big piercings type of person. When I had my ears pierced (I had been wanting them pierced and my mom finally surprised me with a trip to the mall to have them done when I was in fourth or fifth grade) I just about passed out right there in the middle of the mall. Not that the almost passing out would deter me from having something pierced again, but I just really don’t like the way that multiple piercings look (on a person’s ears) and I would NEVER have my belly button pierced (I just find it a little juvenile and tacky) or my nose or anything like that…why put holes all over the beautiful body that God gave you?! I also have an aversion towards tattoos…but that’s another story for another day. Just my viewpoint on this though! I have lots of friends with multiple piercings and tattoos and we get along just fine!! :)
o Are you a social butterfly or a homebody? I am definitely a homebody. While I love hanging out with my friends and enjoy their company immensely, I love curling up on the couch with the hubs and just being “home”.
o Are you done having babies, or do you want more? WOAH! I haven’t even started having babies yet!! It’s going to be a while on that one ladies. I have a lot of traveling (see the answer to the final question)/vacationing/sleeping/enjoying the newlywed life before I add “mommy” to the list, but I know that I’ll be thrilled to have babies someday!
o Are you loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every salon in town? I’m not a big “hair” person, although I would really LOVE to have great hair – I’m always jealous of my friends who have fabulous hair. I don’t color my hair (which means it’s very low maintenance) and I don’t have my hair cut nearly as much as I should. BUT – I don’t blow-dry my hair everyday or use a lot of heated styling tools which would cause a lot of damage to my hair either which means fewer split ends for moi (hence why I don’t have my hair trimmed as often as I should!).
o How many times have you moved in your life? Well, once from one house to another (in the same town)…then of course there was “college” which was only 35 minutes away from home….and then I moved here, to DC! So 3 I guess! Not that I would welcome the idea of moving all of the time, but it’s such a thrill entering a new space and rearranging all of your things somewhere new and fresh!
o If you could plan a vacation with just you and your love, where would it be? It would be a LONG vacation (a month or two) visiting all of our favorite places in Europe and exploring places we haven’t yet been – Greece, Switzerland, Germany (I haven’t been), New Zealand…gosh, there are so many places I still want to go!
