First, thanks so much for your sweet comments on my DIY Hallway project! I was SUPER excited with the finished product and definitely wanted to share it with the blogging community because I feel like ANYONE can tackle a project like this and I’d love to see it done with a different pattern. I smile every time I walk into our apartment – it’s just such a neat touch. One of you asked if the tape sticks….the answer is yes and no. I put the tape up and it sticks very well EXCEPT for on the very ends where you trim the tape to match up at the edges. The simple solution for this was to dab a little bit of glue on the tape and stick that down. So far…so good…no peeling!
Although last week was incredibly busy, I have to say (without giving too much away) that last week was an incredibly exiting week as well. There was one major development in our little lives that makes me grin from ear to ear and the other was just a special opportunity that I’ve been given as of last week. If possible, I’ll certainly share with all of you, but for now, the lips have to be sealed. Don’t you hate when bloggers do that?! Sorry! :)
In another exciting development to probably no one but myself, my mileage (running) for the week has been inching higher and higher over the last two weeks. In fact, I actually reached the 800 mile mark on my sidebar tracker, which, for someone who busted out a LOT of miles before her wedding and then took an unnecessary break from the pavement/treadmill, this is a huge accomplishment. I’m excited to keep up with my current routine and my new goal will be to reach the 1,300 mile mark by the end of December. The other incredible development in the exercise arena is the fact that I’ve actually been logging my miles in the mornings and following those sessions up with that 20 minute miracle worker, JM 30 Day Shred. It’s been a great jump-start to my day, and much like I enjoyed my last job because I’d be able to complete my workouts before returning home each night, getting everything done in the morning means more time to relax AFTER work each day. I love it.
As far as what the hubby and I were up to over the weekend…well, a lot of nothing. We took a bunch of walks (which I love so much since we can just walk and talk and not be distracted by things around us), stopped by Home Goods for a quick peek (ahhh there were so many things I wanted!), enjoyed a delicious ice cream cone (I forgot how much I love plain old cookies and cream ice cream), and organized the apartment for what’s looking like a busy few weeks/months ahead of us.
I hope that you all had wonderful weekends and I look forward to catching up on what you’ve been up to!
