Happy Friday everyone!First of all I want to say a VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my parents! They've been married for 34 years today!! I am SO, SO lucky to have such amazing parents...so thanks for gettin' together you two! ;) My parents are actually leaving for Spain this Saturday so I know they'll have a great anniversary celebration!
We're going to be in Tennessee for the weekend visiting M.'s parents, but since I've been meaning to post about this for a while, I figured, what better day than today!
Maybe it's old news now, but have you all seen that Katie Holmes is filming a new series for the History Channel all about the Kennedy's? Yes, Katie will be playing the beautiful and positively classic Jackie O. There has been a little bit of controversy over having her play the part (although it's been noted that there have been series/films made about Jackie O. and the
Kennedy family now more than 30 times.) It seems to me that Katie has an extremely similar look to Jackie and even though many of us think Tom Cruise is a bit crazy, I've always been a fan of Katie though I've never watched the-show-that-made-her-famous, Dawson's Creek.From the paparazzi photos taken of Katie during filming it looks like the costume designers have seriously outdone themselves for her role. The clothing looks absolutely AMAZING and spot on
with what Jackie would've worn. Of course everything is done in classic colors and very traditional Jackie shapes -- shift dresses, pillbox hats, pearls galore -- all in beautiful colors -- royal blue, pastel pink, red and robins egg blue. It also appears that hair and makeup have really hit the nail on the head. Her hair looks SO
similar to Jackie's and the makeup is perfectly polished.I must say, I'm pretty excited about this series! I can't wait to see how the producers set everything up...if nothing else, seeing Katie dressed in the "Jackie" clothing will make watching worthwhile!!
