Happy Wednesday everyone!!
It has been a pretty low key week at the office so far. My boss is out until the 21st so I have been filling my time with projects that have been put aside over the last few weeks to prepare for his business trips.
I am getting really excited for the engagement party that my parents are throwing for M. and me. My mom stopped by the florist (who is also doing the flowers for our wedding)this morning and she is going to create three tall cylinder vases filled with white and “blue” flowers with a somewhat whimsical “snowflake” element added in. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!! I am sure it will be right on point with our theme. I also made my hair appointment yesterday with a local stylist – I am no expert when it comes to fixing my hair, so I am going to let him figure it out!!
My mom also brought up the idea of serving a signature cocktail in addition to the beer and wine we will offer. We’ve been trading ideas for what this magical signature drink will be, but we know we want to incorporate some blue into the drink (again, to stay with our wintery theme). I also need to come up with a cute name for this concoction! I like "Frostini," but I am still working on it. Do any of you fabulous bloggers have a good recipe for a "blue" drink?!?!
I am going to pack up everything I need for this weekend tonight because tomorrow after our workout, M. and I are going for a late dinner out (to take advantage of DC’s restaurant week)!
