DC Restaurant Week - Chef Geoff's

Last week was restaurant week in DC. Restaurant week (in case you're not familiar) is where the fabulous restaurants in DC (even the really expensive ones) offer three course meals (appetizer, entree & dessert) for lunch & dinner for an extremely discounted price -- in our case, lunches during the week cost $20.09 a person (cute right, $20.09...2009...get it?!) & dinners cost $35.09.

M. & I decided to take advantage of this wonderful city wide event & enjoyed an amazing lunch at Chef Geoff's downtown location. *IT*WAS*AMAZING! I will now list out our entire lunch...because I can...

M. had: Shrimp & Calamari Fritto Misto with Sambal Aioli, Hanging Tender Steak with Chimichurri Sauce & the Chocolate Truffle Lava Cake with Chocolate Sorbet.

I had: Grilled Lamb Skewers with Cucumber Feta Relish, Day Boat Scallops with Mushroom-Asparagus Risotto, Truffle Oil & White Balsamic Reduction, and the S'mores Chocolate Brownie Sundae with Marshmallow Fluff & Graham Cracker Ice Cream.

**As you can see by the pictures...we certainly enjoyed the dessert!**

Seriously -- this was one of the BEST lunches I have had in a while. The food was SO delicious -- & M. has found a new favorite dessert. We will certainly be visiting Chef Geoffs again. I can't wait for the second round of restaurant week in February!

I hope you all have the chance to enjoy a delicious meal with someone you love this week!
