It started with 35...

...the guest list for our engagement party that is -- and then of course ( like all things in a wedding) it grew to a slightly larger list of about 45...and when you factor in the fact that these are 45 couplllleesss...then there could possibly be about 80-90 people in my parent's house on January 16th....CRAZY!

Either way, my mom had not originally planned for this many people and last night while we were on the phone we were trying to think of how 40 or more cars would fit on our street...hmmmm?!?!!

My mom purchased beautiful invitations a few months ago and planned to print them herself...at the same time she also picked up two other packs to save for other occasions. Well now ALL of those invitations are printed for our engagement party and I think they turned out really pretty! My mom added ribbon to each invitation which gave them a lot more character. Personally, I love each of them, and since we don't really have a "theme" for the evening...well, it doesn't really matter that we are sending out three different styles of invitations, now does it?!!?!

The first invite sort of mimics our save-the-date...the pale blue -- classic and pretty! The second invite is a little more funky -- I LOVE the hot pinks, the bright gold and the touches of turquoise...all finished off with a hot pink ribbon -- FABULOUS! Finally, the last invitation is a mix of warm browns and turquoise -- all finished off with a (you can't really tell from the scan but,) really pretty bronze-ish wide ribbon. All different, but all SO SO pretty! It's almost like we get to have three different parties...almost! And who knows who will get which?!

Thanks, Mom for putting together these three equally fabulous invitations! I LOVE THEM! **Sorry for the black marks, have to keep some things confidential!**

The party isn't too far off now! Can't wait! :)
