Hi everyone! I am back after a wonderful weekend spent at home. It’s kind of funny
that I was at home this past weekend since this time last year I was making my way back to North Carolina for my wedding celebration! I definitely had that in the back of my mind during my entire trip and spent time remembering the last minute things I was doing to 
prepare for M. and my big day. It was all so much fun and went by WAY TOO quickly.
It was absolutely wonderful catching up with my parents and spending plenty of quality time with my mom. We spent lots of fun girl time together shopping (at places like Michael’s….M.’s FAVORITE store of all time – ha!), snacking (a trip to Chick-fil-A is always a must in my book and of course that Krispy Kreme doughnut is never a bad thing either!), and laughing of course. My mom even helped me with some of
my “home design” ideas and I am excited about some of the accessories that I picked up while there. I fell in love with this green, velvet, nail-head accent bench, but sadly I wasn’t going to have any luck taking that thing back with me to NYC! Such a good price too…I think it was like $70?!
I actually ended up packing a big box of “stuff” to take back with me to NYC. Hey, it
’s cheaper to check a box on a plane ride than it would be to ship a 50 pound box! Plus, I still had a bunch of different summer shoes and accessories to bring back with me…I know M. was thrilled about that! :)
There were two other special things that I needed to lug back with me too including M.’s anniversary gift! I had it ordered and shipped to my parent’s house so that he will be completely surprised when we officially “celebrate” our big day! For now it
is still securely nestled in that box and of course, there will be no peeking!
Yesterday I needed to catch up on all of the work that accumulated while I was out on Monday which is why I had no post for you yesterday, but rest assured, I have plenty of content to keep things rolling around here!
All in all it was a wonderful weekend. Have you noticed anything fishy about my photos?! No, my camera's quality isn’t really that terrible….BUT, I finally upgraded my cell phone to the amazing i-phone! I love having a camera on my phone and since it’s pretty much a mini computer, I love that I can read blogs wherever I go! :)
Tomorrow I will finally do the big reveal of my most recent DIY project - I hope you’ll join me! :)
