A "Piece" Offering...Cake of Course

Well, not really a "peace offering," but more like a "thank you for all of your help" offering. While talking with my mom last night before we fell sound asleep on our OH-SO-COMFORTABLE-NEVER-WANT-TO-SLEEP-ON-A-REGULAR-MATTRESS-AGAIN air mattresses (can you sense the sarcasm?!) I was telling her about how much a few of my colleagues have been helping me through this learning process in my new position. I have thought about doing something for them, but haven't been quite sure what would be appropriate. Obviously saying 'thank you' over and over again gets the point across, but still, the feeling of being an annoyance to them still lingers and I want to make sure that they know how much I appreciate all of their help and how they have put up with me asking them a million questions over the last week and two days.

So we were trying to decide what an appropriate "thank you" gift would be without breaking the bank. We decided you can never go wrong with a cupcake -- what girl doesn't love a good cupcake?! So this afternoon, in between her trekking around the city, my lovely mother will be dropping by a box of the baked goods to my office. I'm hoping the girls really appreciate them -- at least their stomachs will! :)
