My mom & I arrived in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon & made our way straight to the market. After getting our passes we started browsing the showrooms -- if you haven't ever been to market, let me just say -- it is SO overwhelming! I had been to the apparel market before & walked through the gift market (on an off time) & I knew that there was a lot to look at, but JEEZE -- there is a lot to look at.
We decided to go to market to find some things for the wedding, & we certainly did, but I was also finding so many fun things for M. & my apartment! I absolutely loved these blue coral prints. The mirrored frames made them super special.
This was a really cute preppy display at one of the showrooms...I really liked the "A Perfectly Preppy" calendar with the pink swirl design.
We passed by a lot of collegiate gear, certainly not my favorite, but I had to take this picture for M. (he attended Tennessee as an undergrad & also played football there). I could definitely paint one of these plates at a local "paint your own pottery" place. It would be a cute appetizer dish for football season!
My next little find were these hangers. I know that I've seen them in the stores before, but I thought that they would be the perfect addition to the wedding planning. For what just exactly? More for the pictures than anything, but I thought they would be so cute as the hanger holding the dress for the day-of wedding dress shot. This showroom had them in black, clear, pale pink & pearl. So perfect -- I'm definitely getting a few!
I obviously couldn't pass up the Lilly showroom. It was BUZZING with people & I had a sneak peak of SO MANY of the new items that will be in stores in the coming months. I also had a preview of the new invitation line -- it's definitely for the SUPER LILLY LOVER (I think hat it actually might be too much Lilly for me...I know, I know...am I even allowed to say that?) My favorite little print was this pink & green chandelier with monkeys. This agenda would be perfect for the busy, always on-the-go girl. So so cute -- I will definitely be getting some items in this print!
We attended a cookie decorating presentation. I loved learning all of the fun decorating tips & checking out the adorable cookie cutters available. This rooster cookie with purple accents was so pretty & this Eiffel tower couldn't be more perfect! I took a picture of all of the decorating accents because they just looked so pretty in all of their individual bowls!
The trip to the Atlanta Gift Market was really worthwhile...not only did I pick up some adorable samples (for another post), but I found the PERFECT silk taffeta for the bridesmaids sashes, picked up BEAUTIFUL pins to accent the sashes, found an adorable company to order some of my gifts for my bridesmaids, found glass containers for the centerpieces at the reception & looked at more votive holders than I ever thought I could, but I also found the perfect type of those too!! :)
I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend. I'll be catching up on your blogs tomorrow!
