L'Oréal continues to impress me with their choice of spokeswomen. This time it's Aimee Mullens - who is obviously beautiful but there is a lot more to her! Born with a limb anomaly, she lost both of her legs when she was only one year old. She forged ahead with prosthetic and embarked on a remarkable athletic career which saw her compete in top level NCAA competitions and the 1996 Paralymic Games where she set 3 world records! From there she went on to model, act and be an all around inspirational role-model to people everywhere!
No word on what her first campaign will be but I have no doubt that she will kick butt!

As a devotee of Project Runway, I am delighted to hear that Heidi is partnering with Coty to develop a new fragrance called Heidi Klum Shine expected to launch fall of this year! No word on what Shine will smell like but I have faith that Heidi has come up with something good! Really, is there anything the girl can't do - she has a husband to serenade her (my husband calls Seal, "Hope for men everywhere" I assume on account that he landed Heidi), a passel of kids, a European cosmetic gig, a bunch of TV shows and a line of active wear, I'm exhausted just listing her accomplishments!
I'll get back to you with deets when I hear and I am actually liking the dress she is wearing in this picture, it's kind of strange but really compelling!

The new face of Davidoff Cool Water Fragrance for men and the father of my future children is Paul Walker! Come July, those piercing blue eyes will be haunting your magazines, television and your dreams - just remember, hands off, he's mine! I don't really know any of his movies, he's appeared in the type of guy movie that I avoid going to, of course had I realized what I was missing, I would have been more amenable to letting my husband have his choice of movie! Paul is really into ocean conservation so this particular fragrance seems to be a good match for him. It's a favourite of mine already so now I have an even better reason to make my husband wear it - he may guess, but he can't prove who I'm thinking about when I nuzzle my nose into his neck...

L'Oréal Paris has added another brand ambassador - Gwen Stefani, who will be the face (hair) of the Superior Preference haircolour line and the new Infallible Le Rouge lipcolour line coming in March.
I like that L'Oréal has broken out of the cookie cutter model thing and are using celebrities that are less perfect and more relatable - not that I don't think Gwen is attractive, there's no doubt that she is but I also find her a bit quirky looking which is a nice thing to see!
What do you think? Are you a fan of Gwen's look?

Jennifer has been a busy girl lately, not only has she signed up to be one of the new judges on American Idol, she has also taken on a global brand ambassador role for L’Oréal Paris. We can look forward to seeing her in early 2011 for the new EverSleek haircare product line.
I'm liking this move that companies have been making towards more "real" looking people - not that Jen is ordinary looking or anything, obviously she is gorgeous - but she is certainly no stick person and that makes me happy!

For those of you who have been missing your Calvin Klein colour cosmetics - good news - they're coming back! Calvin Klein Inc. and Coty Inc. recently announced that they will develop and market a full line of colour cosmetics that will launch in 2012.
I'm not sure why the line didn't take off last time it was launched, but I have faith that Coty will be able to make a go of it! And if they would be so kind as to bring back the Cosmopolitan Lipstick, I would be ever so grateful!
